You can convert a foreign currency into US Dollars by clicking in the lower left edit field and entering an amount, then pressing Enter to have the value converted.
Change the conversion currency by clicking on a flag. Set the background and default conversion currency in the preferences.

Change is a currency double-clic-conversion toolbar.
Once on a web site displaying amounts, select the currencies from and to which you need a conversion:
Then double click on any amount to display its equivalent right next to it (even when toolbar is hidden).
You can disable the insertion and only use the reading from the toolbar.
