The guide will show you how to use DVDXGold to compress your DVD. |

Select Titles to Keep |
| |
|
| |
Here is the Select Titles window. The window is easy enough to understand. You have three new buttons, Select Titles, Compression and Write DVD . When the screen first pops up the compression button and write DVD button will be unclickable. Beneath the buttons is the Titles list . To the right of the titles list you have information on the Video , Audio and Subtitles that have been selected when you select Title Sets . Beneath this you have the option to use Compression or select Double layer if you have a Dual Layer burner and DL media also and don't require compression.
To select a Title, simply click the tickbox beside it. In this case there are three titles. The first title is the movie and the other two are just extras. If you want just the movie you will probably be looking for the title with the most Chapters and the biggest filesize. Select a Title and click Preview Video , this can allow you to determine which is the movie. If the movie is all that you want, then just tick that Title. If you want everything just tick all the tick boxes, or you can just selectively pick stuff that you want to keep.
If you have selected everything and the Compression button still cannot be clicked but the Write DVD button can, congratulations you have a DVD-5 not a DVD-9 as your source and no compression is required. This may also be the case if you just select the movie, it might be small enough to need no compression. When you are done choosing, click the Next button. |

Write DVD |
| |
|
| |
Firstly, the program will read your DVD, then begin writing it to your blank media. If your blank media is re-writable and already has data on it, it will be formatted before the writing process begins. The time this process will take, depends on the speed of your computer and the speed of your DVD burner. |
